Creating Memories Through Stories

We all love spending time with our amazing families and it's often hard to photograph the moment whilst remaining involved and present in the activity, and for all the family members to be in the photo at the same time. So many of life's simple day-to-day moments, milestones and the constant changing of loved ones go unrecorded. To have your own professional family photo session is generally a special treat, but something I hope to offer at an affordable price, so you can have the choice to have more done year on year to be able to look back on and cherish for many years, and to share these memories with family and friends near and far.

As a lifelong animal lover and owner of 2 gorgeous Schnauzers, Murphy and Chester, I love the challenge of photographing a lively playful pooch, or grumpy old boy, along with the odd wet lick or two. Animal photography is an area of my work that I truly love. I adore capturing all the beauty in our pets and loved ones.

Whether it's capturing a cheeky smile, thoughtful contemplation, childhood wonder or recording a more formal occasion, I am always trying to capture that special moment. My aim with all portraits is to create personal, exciting, dramatic and inspiring images with a cohesive theme, story, style and location. Portrait photography is another specialised area that I love to work in and really enjoy finding themes and fashion to stylise the shoot. Working together can really bring ideas to life which is super exciting.

From a child's first birthday party, to an 80th birthday celebration, gender reveals to cake smashes, engagements to golden anniversaries, capturing all the excitement, smiles, laughs, hugs and kisses are so enchanting and deserve to be photographed and remembered for many years to come. For me, it's always such a delight and privilege to be invited to be part of the celebrations.

To be asked to record part of someone's journey to motherhood is such a pleasure and joy. I aim to capture this special time and bond between you and your growing bump, also including partners and family members, or just a special one-on-one session somewhere calm and relaxing, and go at a pace you are happy with. Choosing a location and clothing you feel comfortable in is key to an enjoyable fun session.

Photography has allowed me to develop many skills and the opportunity to meet so many amazing people. It has taken me all around New Zealand on some fantastic field trips and workshops growing and developing my skills further. Many of the photos I take are for enjoyment, and to document the joy and memories of the wonderful and interesting places I have visited. I also like to challenge myself to produce interesting and unique images and pieces of artwork. However, if you would like to purchase any of the images in my sale gallery I would be very humbled and honoured to share my work. Most images can be sold in various sizes and always look great on canvas, framed or even turned into a beautiful piece of art such as a splashback for your home.
